Radio: various interviews Saturday 4 January 1964 Live, Radio The Beatles recorded a series of ‘open-ended’ answers for use by US disc jockeys on this day at EMI’s Manchester Square headquarters. The recordings were intended to be used as inserts in between DJs’ questions, to give the impression that the group were actually talking to the presenters.A photographer from Life magazine also photographed The Beatles at EMI House, for a proposed cover story to coincide with their first trip to America.
