The session took place in Abbey Road’s Studio One, from 3.30-7.15pm.Starr re-recorded his lead vocals, while reduction mixes were made simultaneously to free up more space on the tape. His earlier attempts at vocals had been recorded on 4 December 1969.With the vocals complete, Blue Turning Grey Over You was mixed into stereo, replacing an earlier mix made on 20 February 1970. It took seven attempts to complete the mixing on this day, with the final master version being an edit of four different mixes.
