Studio One (control room), EMI Studios, Abbey RoadProducer: George MartinEngineer: Geoff EmerickWork on Got To Get You Into My Life, one of the most complicated recordings on the Revolver album, concluded on this night. The session took place in the control room of Studio One, from 6-8.30pm. The Beatles had finished recording the song on 17 June 1966, but the song required additional mixing. It was felt that the song required additional brass and woodwind. A copy of mono mix seven was made, and a copy of the trumpet and saxophone overdub from the 18 May session was simultaneously overdubbed. This was intentionally slightly out of sync with the original recording, which thickened the sound of the session players. This mix was used on the mono edition of Revolver. A stereo mix was made on 22 June.
