Studio One (control room), EMI Studios, Abbey RoadProducer: Geoff EmerickThe Plastic Ono Band gave their only UK concert on 15 December 1969 at the Lyceum in London. Two days later Geoff Emerick prepared stereo mixes for a possible album release. The concert had been recorded by Emerick on four-track tape, with Peter Bown and John Kurlander engineering. There was also a two-track recording of the audience.John Lennon missed this two-hour mix session, as he was in Canada as part of his peace campaign. Emerick spent two hours preparing stereo mixes of the two songs from the concert, Cold Turkey and Don’t Worry Kyoko (Mummy’s Only Looking For Her Hand In The Snow). The mixes remained unreleased, however. When the concert was eventually issued, as part of the 1972 album Some Time In New York City, it featured overdubbed electric piano, replacing Billy Preston’s organ part from the show, which was inaudible on the tapes.
