La colección Beatles ‘1 se reedita con audio remezclado y video restaurado

The Beatles’ best-selling 1 compilation has been reissued globally in a variety of editions, with remixed audio and fully restored and enhanced video clips. The album was originally released in November 2000, and combined 27 of The Beatles’ biggest hits on one disc. It sold over 30 million copies, becoming the best-selling album of the decade, and earlier in 2015 was still selling more than 1,000 copies a week. Beatles fans have long wanted the group’s promotional film clips to be made commercially available, and today’s release on DVD and Blu-ray has the footage looking better than ever, restored the clips with up to 4K resolution by a team who undertook months of frame-by-frame cleaning, colour grading, digital enhancement and new edits.The audio, too, has been remixed, with new life breathed into the familiar recordings. The remixes were overseen by Giles (son of George) Martin and Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios.Seven different editions of 1 have been released by Apple Corps Ltd/UMG. The standard CD contains the same 27 tracks as the November 2000 release, although with remixed audio.The basic DVD and Blu-ray sets each contain 27 videos for their number one hits, with new stereo and 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS HD surround audio mixes by Martin and Okell, as well as audio commentary and filmed introductions by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr..Combined CD/DVD and CD/Blu-ray editions are also available, but more tempting are the limited edition 1+ box sets, which feature a second disc containing 23 extra films, plus an exclusive 124-page hardback book.A vinyl edition of the remixed album will also be released on 4 December 2015.Ahead of the release, previews of the restored videos for Get Back, The Long And Winding Road, Strawberry Fields Forever, Help! and I Feel Fine were released on , as well as a five-part documentary on the restoration process and full-length versions of Penny Lane, Revolution, A Day In The Life, I Feel Fine and Hello, Goodbye.
