Before the mixing, however, a final bit of recording took place. The tambourine which appeared in the introduction of the television broadcast was replaced with a drum roll played by Ringo Starr.During the mixing session, artificial double tracking was applied to John Lennon’s vocals. Nine mixes were attempted, although only five were complete.The best mix was the fourth. Baby You’re A Rich Man was selected as the single’s b-side, and both songs were in the shops within a fortnight.
