Grabación: el tráiler de A Hard Day’s Night

After spending seven days filming at London’s Scala Theatre, The Beatles returned to Twickenham Film Studios. The group filmed a cinema trailer for A Hard Day’s Night on this day, which included John Lennon and George Harrison sitting in a baby pram, and Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in another. In between the two prams a sign stated: “You may telephone from here”.In a bizarre sequence, Lennon wrote messages on a typewriter, McCartney spoke into a microphone, and Harrison mumbled. Starr twice answered a telephone, handing it to Lennon and stating “It’s for you,” to which Lennon replied: “Don’t be soft”.While at the studios, The Beatles gave an interview to the Tyne Tees Television show Star Parade, which was shown in the north east of England. Viewers had been invited to put questions to The Beatles, each of whom were filmed giving their answers straight into the camera. The production company later filmed the girls asking their questions into the camera, and the footage was edited together. The mock interview was broadcast from 10.10pm on Thursday 9 April 1964.
