En vivo: Merseyside Civil Service Club, Liverpool

This was The Beatles’ first performance at the Merseyside Civil Service Club, on Lower Castle Street, Liverpool. The club was situated in a city centre basement. It was normally open only to members, but guests could be admitted with permission for a charge of three shillings.The Beatles played at the Merseyside Civil Service Club on five occasions. The other dates were 7, 14, 21 and 28 November 1961.The group were paid £5 for their appearance on this occasion.
