The first of five concerts given by The Beatles at this venue in Blackpool, Lancashire.The group performed a series of dates in the seaside town between July and September 1963, either at the ABC or the Queen’s Theatre, compèred by Carry On actor Jack Douglas.The ABC cinema closed in 1998 and subsequently re-opened as a nightclub in December 2002.
