El baño de John Lennon se vende por £ 9,500

A porcelain lavatory which belonged to John Lennon has sold at auction for £9,500 ($14,740). The toilet was previously installed at Tittenhurst Park, Ascot, England, where Lennon lived between 1969 and 1971. He had it replaced, and told builders to “put some flowers in it or something”. It was stored by builder John Hancock in a shed for 40 years until his recent death.The item was part of a Beatles memorabilia sale which also included autographs, a harmonica formerly owned by Julian Lennon, and a rare mono copy of Unfinished Music No 1: Two Virgins.The auction took place at the 33rd annual Beatles Convention in Liverpool, part of the International Beatle Week Festival. The toilet, which was bought by a private overseas investor, was expected to sell for between £750 and £1,000.
