Studio Two, EMI Studios, Abbey RoadProducer: George MartinEngineer: Norman SmithFollowing The Beatles’ recording session on 1 July 1963, editing and mono mixing took place to prepare the group’s fourth single for release. The session took place between 10am and 1pm in the control room of Abbey Road’s studio two, with George Martin producing. The first song to be worked on was She Loves You. This was edited and mixed for mono, before I’ll Get You was also mixed. It is unlikely The Beatles attended the session, although they were in London on this day; in the evening they saw The Rolling Stones for the second time, at the Scene Club in Soho.
